Still, we\u2019re prepared &#8211; they\u2019re boarding up the windows right now, and we have plenty of food and water, so we will be fine.<\/p>\n<p>In the midst of these special circumstances the new rotation is settling in well. They\u2019re all great people and lots of fun to spend time with &#8211; which is good, considering that we might be trapped in the house for a day or two.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re also a bit of a hospital right now: Frank got dengue fever, which led to a strep throat, which was then caught by Mary. I myself have a cold I got from one of the previous volunteers, and yesterday Kat and Carol (our new nurse) got in a bit of a moto accident and Carol hurt her back. But we\u2019re all taking good care of ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<br \/>\n<a name=\"german\"><\/a><em>4. November, 7.00 Uhr<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Laut unseren letzten Informationen hat der Tropensturm seine Richtung ge\u00e4ndert, so dass die Windst\u00f6sse, die wir seit letzter  Nacht erleben, das schlimmste sein k\u00f6nnten, das wir hier mitkriegen. Trotzdem sind wir vorbereitet: Im Moment sichern sie gerade unsere Fenster mit Brettern, und wir haben mehr als genug Essen und Wasser. Um uns braucht ihr euch also nicht ernsthaft zu sorgen.<\/p>\n<p>Mitten in diesen ungew\u00f6hnlichen Umst\u00e4nden hat sich die neue Rotation gut eingelebt. Es sind alles tolle Leute und wir haben viel Spass miteinander &#8211; was gut ist, da wir ja eventuell ein oder zwei Tage im Haus festsitzen werden.<\/p>\n<p>Ausserdem sind wir momentan ein kleines Spital: Frank hatte Dengue-Fieber, was zu einer Virusinfektion im Hals f\u00fchrte, mit der Mary sich ansteckte. Ich selber habe eine Erk\u00e4ltung, die ich von einem der fr\u00fcheren Freiwilligen aufgelesen habe, und gestern waren Kat und Carol (unsere neue Krankenschwester) in einem kleinen Moto-Unfall, in dem Carol sich am R\u00fccken verletzte.
