Found a power outlet, so at least I have a way to kill the time, and I managed to sleep a bit on the plane from London (plus, it\u2019s morning in Switzerland by now) so I\u2019m not too tired. Yet. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.volunteerjournals.org\/wordpress\/wp-includes\/images\/smilies\/icon_smile.gif\" alt=\":)\" class=\"wp-smiley\" \/> <\/p>\n<p>I must say, going through immigration was a way more pleasant process here than three years ago at LAX (Los Angeles). Hardly a queue, no fuss at all about my huge luggage. Now, if only there was a quiet lounge open all night, so I didn\u2019t have to worry about being chased off by security and might get a bit more sleep&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"german\"><\/a><em>14.10.2010, 0.30 Uhr: Offline geschrieben.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ich sitze gerade im Check-in-Bereich von Terminal 4 am JFK-Flughafen in New York und warte darauf, dass der Zugang zu den Gates um 3.30 wieder \u00f6ffnet. Zum Gl\u00fcck hab ich eine Steckdose gefunden, so dass ich die Zeit gut rumkriegen werde. Ich bin auch (noch) relativ wach, weil ich im Flieger von London etwas schlafen konnte (ausserdem ist es in der Schweiz mittlerweile Morgen).<\/p>\n<p>Die Einreise hier war \u00fcberraschend einfach &#8211; viel angenehmer als vor drei Jahren in LAX (Los Angeles). Ich musste kaum anstehen und es gab keinerlei Probleme mit meinem Riesengep\u00e4ck. Ich w\u00fcnschte mir nur, es g\u00e4be eine Ruhezone, die die ganze Nacht offen ist, damit ich mich nicht sorgen m\u00fcsste, dass Sicherheitskr\u00e4fte mich wegschicken, und vielleicht sogar noch ein bisschen schlafen k\u00f6nnte&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Deutsch unten] October 14, 2010, 12.30am: Written while offline.
